Reciprocal Textures/Saturated Luminance

Reciprocity is always active even in moments of absolute stillness. The relationship we have with our fibers and cloth; the desire to touch, to use, to hug, to cuddle, to envelop, to revere or perhaps, to repel is the inspiration for Reciprocal Textures/Saturated Luminance. Gloria Zmolek, Laura MacCary, Pat Reagan, and Josephine A. Zmolek come from incredibly diverse backgrounds yet are bound intimately together by the reciprocal threads of their insightful work.

Artists:
Laura MacCary, Dielectric Series, interactive electronic handweaving
Patricia Reagan, Crone Series, surface design & weaving
Gloria Zmolek, Crazy Quilt Series, paper
Josephine Zmolek, Blanket Series and Anticipatory Illumination, surface design
