| Policies and Protocol: INSURANCE: Barefoot Studios and The Barefoot Collective do not carry medical insurance for its students. Students are required to have their own insurance. Students participate at their own risk. HEALTH/INJURIES: Students are required to be in good health. Instructors must be notified of injuries and/or health issues that may affect participation prior to class. Good personal hygiene and healthful practices are necessary. Report any and all injuries immediately to instructor. Blood and other bodily fluids are bio-hazards to be disposed of by the instructor. CLASS OBSERVATIONS: Observation of classes is situationally specific and may be rescinded at any time by the instructor. Cell phones must be turned off during observations. Observation of classes must not affect student participation. Rehearsals are closed. Questions regarding Barefoot Studios and the Barefoot Collective are welcome, but please do not interrupt a class. VIDEO TAPING/PHOTOGRAPHY: Video taping or photographing of classes, performances or installations at Barefoot Studios are not allowed. STUDENT PROTOCOL: Students arriving more than 10 minutes late must ask for permission to participate in class. No food or drinks except water allowed. Do not leave dance bags or personal items in the dressing or lounge areas. Take them into studios and store in cubbies. DRESS CODE: Students must wear dance/exercise wear that allow the instructor to easily assess the body alignment and do not restrict movement. Barefeet or dance shoes only on dance floor. No black-soled or street shoes are allowed on the dance floor. Revealing or provocative clothing is not appropriate. No excess jewelry. Hair pulled back, off the neck. Barefoot Studios and The Barefoot Collective maintain an inclusive philosophy. All are welcome to participate. |
